We are excited to introduce you to Dr. Tanner Hauptman, who will be providing dental services to residents of Central Baptist Village.

Services Provided: Dr. Tanner is able to provide most dental services in the medical/dental office at Central Baptist Village. Exams, digital x-rays, simple cleanings, deep cleanings, tooth-colored fillings (composites), extractions (tooth removal), and denture services will all be available. For more complicated cases, Dr. Tanner has a private practice office located in Elk Grove Village, where he can perform more advanced procedures, such as implants, crowns, and root canals.
When: Dental services will be available on select Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Cost: Payment is generally due at the time of service. While we do not accept HMO or Medicaid plans, Dr. Tanner is happy to file insurance claims for all PPO insurances as a courtesy to his patients. Any insurance reimbursement will be sent from the insurance company directly to the patient.
What To Do Next If You Are Interested In Dental Services:
First Step: Please fill out the patient intake forms. This should be filled out by the patient or the Medical Power of Attorney. Central Baptist Village has copies of all of the physical paperwork, but, if you are able, digital forms are preferred. Please call 847-439-8546 and ask for the digital version of the Central Baptist Village New Patient Forms.
Second Step: After reviewing the paperwork, Dr. Tanner will contact the person in charge of making medical/dental decisions. He will review the medical history and discuss goals of treatment. Payment for the initial appointment is due at this time.
Third Step: Dr. Tanner will perform a comprehensive exam, x-rays, and (if applicable) an intermediate or simple cleaning.
Fourth Step: Dr. Tanner will discuss the findings from the exam, develop a plan for care, and then schedule an appointment for treatment.

– Dr. Tanner’s office will communicate with Central Baptist Village regarding the patient’s care. This includes, but is not limited to transmitting X-rays and treatment notes.
– Not all residents are a candidate to be treated at Central Baptist Village. Difficulty of procedure and medical conditions can affect the safety of being treated outside of a dental office or hospital setting. Patient safety is the highest priority for Dr. Tanner.
About Dr. Tanner Hauptman:
Dr. Tanner received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine. After dental school, Dr. Tanner spent an extra year receiving advanced training at the Audie L. Murphy Veteran’s Memorial Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. During his time at the VA, Dr. Tanner had the privilege of caring for veterans who served and are currently serving our country. Many of his patients were medically compromised and had complex healthcare needs. This provided him with valuable experience in treating individuals with a wide range of medical conditions. Caring for patients in a hospital setting not only strengthened his clinical skills and treatment planning but also his appreciation for building lasting relationships and delivering compassionate, personalized care.
Dr. Tanner is married to his wife Alexa and has one son, Walker James. Outside of family time, Dr. Tanner enjoys cooking, coffee, watching sports, and playing golf.
